Welcome to LPCN News February 2023

Welcome to the latest edition of LPCN news. We hope you’ve had a positive start to the new year. We have lots of plans for LPCN throughout 2023 and would like to thank you for your commitment to working with the network to improve patient care.

I’m also pleased to announce that I will be remaining as Chair for a further year (until end of March 2024). I’m looking forward to continuing to work with you across the City on our key projects and hopefully we will get to meet face to face soon. Watch this space!

Dr Adam Hurlow, Chair

Bereaved Carers Survey - now open!

The Leeds Bereaved Carers Survey, with support from Healthwatch is now live. Anyone who registers a death until end of April will be asked to take part. The feedback will help us to understand what is working well in Leeds and where we can improve services for patients, families and carers. We would appreciate you support to raise awareness of the survey, on social media and with anyone who may be eligible to give their views. More information can be found here

Dying Matters Leeds Community Grant now open!

Dying Matters Leeds aims to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life. The Dying Matters Leeds Partnership co-ordinates citywide work to open the conversation with local communities in Leeds about death, dying and loss and to enable people to plan for the last years of their life.

We are inviting organisations and groups to apply for funding to run an event or activity, during Dying Matters Week (1st – 7th May 2023). For inspiration and information on how to apply, please visit Dying Matters Leeds Community Grants
